This 377 acre orchard is located on Grand Island within the Sacramento Delta, just 30 minutes south of downtown Sacramento and is less than 90 minutes from San Francisco. The permanent plantings include blueberries, peaches and various varieties of apples and pears. The orchard benefits from riparian rights. There are two pumps that pump water out of the adjacent Steamboat Slough to irrigate the crops. There is no measurement of the water pumped, no limit to the quantity and no charge for the water other than the electricity cost of pumping. Additionally the orchard holds delivery rights with Pacific Coast Producers for peach and pear fruit.
